I heard the producer of this film licks toads to get high. The writers are Free Masons and may also have once been member of Skull and Bones with George W. Bush. The CFR was involve at the concept stage, and was urged on by the Bilderberg Group and the DeBeers diamond cartel. And of course there had to be extensive involvement by Big Oil, Big Car, and Big Cow. Finally, we should all remember that Bush lied, people died, and 911 was an inside job!

AP Writer Diagnosed with Uncontrollable Climate Anxiety Diarrhea

I got a climate induced feva’, and the only perscription – more Obama.

Check out this AP headline:

Obama left with little time to curb global warming

Oh NOOOOEEEEES!!!

Here’s a bit from the article:

WASHINGTON (AP) – When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, global warming was a slow-moving environmental problem that was easy to ignore. Now it is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can’t avoid.

Since Clinton’s inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton’s second inauguration. Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it.

“The time for delay is over; the time for denial is over,” he said on Tuesday after meeting with former Vice President Al Gore, who won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on hysterical propaganda global warming. “We all believe what the scientists have been telling us for years now that this is a matter of urgency and national security and it has to be dealt with in a serious way.”

But there are powerful political and economic realities that must be quickly overcome for Obama to succeed. Despite the urgency he expresses, it’s not at all clear that he and Congress will agree on an approach during a worldwide financial crisis in time to meet some of the more crucial deadlines.

Obama is pushing changes in the way Americans use energy, and produce greenhouse gases, as part of what will be a massive economic stimulus. He called it an opportunity “to re-power America.”

After years of inaction on global warming, 2009 might be different. Obama replaces a president who opposed mandatory cuts of greenhouse gas pollution and it appears he will have a willing Congress. Also, next year, diplomats will try to agree on a major new international treaty to curb the gases that promote global warming.

“We need to start in January making significant changes,” Gore said in a recent telephone interview with The Associated Press. “This year coming up is the most important opportunity the world has ever had to make progress in really solving the climate crisis.”

Scientists are increasingly anxious, talking more often and more urgently about exceeding “tipping points.”

“We’re out of time,” Stanford University biologist Terry Root said. “Things are going extinct. I need to go change my pants.”

I added the last bit.

Now, I’m not trying to say that we should just do nothing about the environment. I think it’s great that we are looking into new technologies and trying to move away from oil and such. However, I do not think it is wise to mix government and rather hysterical knee-jerk environmental policies.

Here is another fairly thought out perspective on the current climate situation that illuminates the idea that the science isn’t quite as ‘closed’ or ‘unanimous’ as Al Gore, Pres-Elect Obama, and Co. are attempting to portray it:

Great Moments in Climate Science: Government sees increasing hurricane strength – despite data

By government – I mean President-Elect Obama, but it is more important to remember that when people are warning about global catastrophes – despite the evidence, the end concern is always – what will government force you to do about it. Here’s the Obama quote:

“Few challenges facing America — and the world – are more urgent than combating climate change,” he says in the video. “The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear. Sea levels are rising. Coastlines are shrinking. We’ve seen record drought, spreading famine, and storms that are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season. Climate change and our dependence on foreign oil, if left unaddressed, will continue to weaken our economy and threaten our national security.”

And here’s an actual graph of cyclone strength metrics:
cyclonestrengthgraph

Firstly – only someone who does not understand the methodology and process of science would say something foolish like, “The science is beyond dispute.” Science cannot be “closed” as I have written before. (You can read a bit more about this concept here.) Whenever anyone tells you “the science is closed,” especially concerning something vastly complex like global climate change, you should be skeptical.

Second – If you look at the graph on cyclone strength – the idea that, “storms … are growing stronger with each passing hurricane season,” is false. Cyclone strength has, in fact, risen – then fallen dramatically over the past decade or two. In the last five years – in particular, we have seen a dramatic drop-off in cyclone strength.

But then again -as far as public policy goes – since when did actual data matter, especially since we have such a great thing going with this whole Global Warming frenzy? People are already totally convinced that it will bring about our impending doom, and since it’s a “global problem” who else are they going to turn to to “fix it?”

Hint: Starts with “gov,” ends with “ment.”

Closing thought: If global warming is such an existential threat to mankind that we must immediately take major government action – why hasn’t President-Elect Obama, or Al Gore, or anyone for that matter – set up a single day of hearings to consider arguments from credible scientists on both sides of this issue?

The answer is simple: Because they fear having their belief challenged. And the only people who are afraid to have their beliefs challenged, are those who either know their belief to be false, or don’t know enough to know their belief is true (and how to defend it).

Great Moments in Climate Science: GISS reports hottest October – uses September measurements

From the Daily Telegraph (emphasis mine):

A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore’s chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.

This was startling. Across the world there were reports of unseasonal snow and plummeting temperatures last month, from the American Great Plains to China, and from the Alps to New Zealand. China’s official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its “worst snowstorm ever”. In the US, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.

So what explained the anomaly? GISS’s computerised temperature maps seemed to show readings across a large part of Russia had been up to 10 degrees higher than normal. But when expert readers of the two leading warming-sceptic blogs, Watts Up With That and Climate Audit, began detailed analysis of the GISS data they made an astonishing discovery. The reason for the freak figures was that scores of temperature records from Russia and elsewhere were not based on October readings at all. Figures from the previous month had simply been carried over and repeated two months running.

The error was so glaring that when it was reported…READ THE REST

Dr Pachauri, a former railway engineer with no qualifications in climate science, may believe what Dr Hansen tells him. But whether, on the basis of such evidence, it is wise for the world’s governments to embark on some of the most costly economic measures ever proposed, to remedy a problem which may actually not exist, is a question which should give us all pause for thought.

Ha! Climate Science… About as convincing as Astrology Science.

Will the media start reporting the fact that the science behind climate change is vastly complex and most predictions are based on biased computer models? What about promoting the idea that carbon dioxide emissions might not lead to catastrophic global warming? Or will a government official challenge the idea that we should oppose crippling legislation such as ‘carbon taxes’ on business, when it turns out there isn’t a consensus on anthropomorphic global warming? Or will schools stop teaching about global warming as a definite fact?

Not likely.

Consensus collapses: APS re-opens debate on global warming -Update: APS position unchanged

I stole that headline from HotAir

The American Physical Society, an organization representing nearly 50,000 physicists, has reversed its stance on climate change and is now proclaiming that many of its members disbelieve in human-induced global warming.  The APS is also sponsoring public debate on the validity of global warming science.  The leadership of the society had previously called the evidence for global warming “incontrovertible.” …

The APS is opening its debate with the publication of a paper by Lord Monckton of Brenchley, which concludes that climate sensitivity — the rate of temperature change a given amount of greenhouse gas will cause — has been grossly overstated by IPCC modeling.   A low sensitivity implies additional atmospheric CO2 will have little effect on global climate.

Larry Gould, Professor of Physics at the University of Hartford and Chairman of the New England Section of the APS, called Monckton’s paper an “expose of the IPCC that details numerous exaggerations and “extensive errors”

In an email to DailyTech, Monckton says, “I was dismayed to discover that the IPCC’s 2001 and 2007 reports did not devote chapters to the central ‘climate sensitivity’ question, and did not explain in proper, systematic detail the methods by which they evaluated it. When I began to investigate, it seemed that the IPCC was deliberately concealing and obscuring its method.”

Ed Morrissey notes the following:

The paper points out that the warming seen on Earth during the period under question matched the warming seen on other planets in the solar system, a point repeatedly made by skeptics over the last few years.  Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and one of Neptune’s moons experienced the same climate shift at the same time, and Monckton assigns the blame not to SUVs or belching smokestacks, but to the only energy source all have in common: the sun.  Solar activity during the past seventy years, Monckton states, exceeded what had been seen for 11,000 years, which led to the warming activity here on Earth and elsewhere in the system.

UPDATE: The AFP has not changed it’s stance – though an internal subgroup has brought up questions as to the consensus. It will be interesting to see where that goes…

And yet, there are still people talking about ideas like a global carbon tax… Here’s a recent comment from the Senate Majority leader, Harry Reid – talking about how “coal makes us sick”:

And here’s John McCain:

Here’s Barack Obama:

But what happens if it turns out that carbon emissions have little or nothing to do with causing global warming?

For your consideration – Here is a great overview of the counter argument against the assertion that burning fossil fuels is causing global warming:

Final question: Who exactly is hurt the most by high gas prices and crappy legislation brought to us by environmentalists? The poor. Think about that. For the middle class – $4.00 gas is crappy and inconvenient, but for the poor – it’s devastating.

More Climate – Morality Blending

Here’s an interesting comment from the former UN secretary general Kofi Annan:

“We must have climate justice. As an international community, we must recognise that the polluter must pay and not the poor and vulnerable,” said Annan at the first high-level meeting of his new humanitarian forum.

Article

In case you missed my post on “Soft Tyranny” you can read it here. Anytime someone equates climate change with morality, you have cause to be worried. I can’t repeat this enough – the science on man-caused global warming (note that ‘global warming’ is already being substituted for ‘climate change’. Why might that be?) is not settled

Note, though, that folks who might happen to think that the planet’s climate is actually something we (man) don’t have much control over, are somehow causing injustice.

And here’s NASA’s James Hansen calling for Oil Executives to be tried for crimes against humanity.

I wonder if NPR (in the spirit of fair debate) brought up any of the stiff opponents to Hansen’s arguments?

Here’s one. Or you can watch this:

If you found that interesting, here is a link to the other 5 parts of this video series.

I also find this a bit disturbing. Here is a summary of Barack Obama’s Climate Education Bill:

Climate Change Education Act – Requires the Director of the National Science Foundation to establish a Climate Change Education Program to: (1) broaden the understanding of climate change, possible long and short-term consequences, and potential solutions; (2) apply the latest scientific and technological discoveries to provide learning opportunities to people; and (3) emphasize actionable information to help people understand and to promote implementation of new technologies, programs, and incentives related to energy conservation, renewable energy, and greenhouse gas reduction.
Requires such Program to include: (1) a national information campaign to disseminate information on and promote implementation of the new technologies, programs, and incentives; and (2) a competitive grant program to provide grants to states, municipalities, educational institutions, and other organizations to create materials relevant to climate change and climate science, develop climate science kindergarten through grade 12 curriculum and supplementary educational materials, or publish climate change and climate science information.

I wonder if this bill will support viewpoints of credible scientists who are of the opinion that man is not the driving factor of climate change? Remember, I was told in elementary school that the Earth only had about 65 years of fresh water left

UN Climate Meetings Destroying the Earth

Jetting around the world emitting more carbon (you know, that stuff the plant kingdom thrives on) than possibly several small cities.

How come the people who want everyone else to change don’t do anything about it themselves? If the problem is really as dire as Al Gore seems to think it is, shouldn’t he be living in a tent, eating cold cabbage and walking to work, where all he does every day is plant trees? I guess changing nothing about his life and buying carbon credits to cover it works. Same difference.

Introducing the latest in Green technology: The Gaia-Christo-Verde Suit

As everyone well knows, the Earth is on the way to destruction because of man’s careless action. Every decision man has made throughout human history has, in effect – set up us the bomb, and has now clearly shown to directly link to catastrophic global climate change.

What Happen?

With the recent decision by the top scientists of the US Supreme Court to list CO2 as an air pollutant, it is clear that if we do not act we have no chance to survive make our time. It is now the duty of every one of us to shed any critical thoughts of critical-ness and make a move to become green today.

The question is, what can you do?

Introducing – The Gaia-Christo-Verde Suit (GCV)

GlobalWarmingKit

Global Warming Kit - Obviously, this embarrassing product is designed to make people feel they are contributing (though the outcome is so immeasurable minute as to be a gimmick rather than a real product) to the Earth by becoming 'green' with the absolute minimal amount of effort and actual real change to their lifestyle.

The Gaia-Christo-Verde Suit is a new product from the EarthPlanetGood Inc. (Don’t worry, EarthPlanetGood is a good and green corporation like Apple, Target, and Ikea – not like Walmart, ExxonMobil, or Microsoft). The basic idea behind the GCV is the total reduction of an individual’s carbon footprint. The idea for the technology sprung from the marriage of several ideas.

There are currently products available that are aiming to reduce carbon footprints – such as the laughable Global Warming Kit (seen on the right). Unfortunately, these products fall far short of achieving any real measurable change to our precious Earth, instead simply filling an emotional gap for most people as a way to feel less guilty about their destruction of the planet.

We at EarthPlanetGood Inc know that anyone who really cares about effecting global climate change must do more than purchase simple trinkets.

Secondly, EarthPlanetGood Inc is concerned about the actions taken by what are considered ‘green’ protesters. For instance, notice the blatant disregard for CO2 emissions exhibited by Earth First’s so-called ‘Mourning for Old Growth Forests’:

earthfirstpollution

Note the blasphemous, frivolous, and copious release of CO2 emissions. And yet, all this is done in the guise of the 'environmentalism'

This wasteful and careless disregard for our planet cannot be tolerated.

It was for these reasons, EarthPlanetGood Inc. invested in creating the Gaia-Christo-Verde Suit with the goal of completely eliminating CO2, and any other destructive emissions. So, without further ado:

Continue to the Gaia-Christo-Verde Suit…

Celebrate Human Achievement Hour

Here are the goals of Earth Hour:

“THIS IS THE WORLD’S FIRST GLOBAL ELECTION, BETWEEN EARTH AND GLOBAL WARMING.
On March 28 you can VOTE EARTH by switching off your lights for one hour.
Or you can vote global warming by leaving your lights on.
The results of the election are being presented at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. We want one billion votes for Earth, to tell world leaders that we have to take action against global warming.”

And here are the goals of the Human Achievement Hour:

This week CEI announced the creation of Human Achievement Hour (HAH) to be celebrated at 8:30pm on March 28th 2009 (the same time and date of Earth Hour).

Our press release described ways people might celebrate the achievements of humanity such as eating diner, seeing a film, driving around, keeping the heat on in your home—all things that Earth Hour celebrators, presumably, should be refraining from. In the cheekiest manner, we claimed that anyone not foregoing the use of electricity in that hour is, by default, celebrating the achievements of human beings. Needless to say, the enviros in the blogosphere didn’t take to kindly to our announcement.

Matthew Wheeland, an environmental journalist called the holiday “mind-blowingly strange” and pondered if Earth hour folks are including in their numbers people in countries that don’t have enough electricity to make the choice to turn out their lights. Of course, they don’t have the choice to acquire electricity whereas anyone can choose to stop using human technology if they wish…

…Green and private conservation are fine. We have no problem with an individual (or group) that wants to sit naked in the dark without heat, clothing, or light. Additionally, we’d have no problem with the group holding a pro-green technology rally. That’s their choice. But when this group stages a “global election” with the express purpose of influencing “government policies to take action against global warming,” we have every right as individuals to express our vote for the opposite

If our Human Achievement Hour is at all a dig against Earth Hour, it is so only by the fact that we are pointing out what Earth Hour truly is about: it isn’t pro-earth, it is anti-man and anti-innovation. So, on March 28th I plan to continue “voting” for humanity by enjoying the fruits of man’s mind.

Touche.

More Opposition to Anthropomorphic Global Warming

Again, just more opinions to consider when your local news talks about global warming, CO2 emissions, or carbon credits, as if global warming is a definite fact.  This time they come from the founder of The Weather Channel, John Coleman. Note that he considers himself an environmentalist, as I do, though I have many serious doubts about the reality of man-caused global warming (aka. global climate change):
