How does stuff like this slip past people?

The University of Idaho football team has removed the logo from the back of its uniform pants after the new design caused an uproar, athletic director Rob Spear said.
Idaho wore the pants — which featured a prominent “I” with “Vandals” in script across the butt — during its 70-0 season-opening loss to Arizona.
The pants got much of the attention, much of it mocking the Vandals.
“I was disappointed with the look and the appearance. We didn’t realize how noticeable it would be until it was on our players,” Spear said Thursday.
So…not disappointed with the placement?

Sad ending to the game. Similar to the Oregon – Cal game last year…except – this one lost to the universally hated dancing moron. Though a Duck myself – I understand the pain.
The big question: Will this end the saga of absurdity? I doubt it… (I highlighted the funny parts..)
Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) – The Green Bay Packers reached an agreement to trade quarterback Brett Favre to the New York Jets late Wednesday night.
Though the Packers did not release terms of the trade, the Green Bay Press- Gazette said the Packers will acquire a draft choice as compensation.
Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy and executive vice president and general manager Ted Thompson released a joint statement.
“Brett has had a long and storied career in Green Bay, and the Packers owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for everything he accomplished on the field and for the impact he made in the state,” the statement said. “It is with some sadness that we make this announcement, but also with the desire for certainty that will allow us to move the team and organization forward in the most positive way possible.
“We respect Brett’s decision that he could no longer remain here as a Packer. But there were certain things we were not willing to do because they were not in the best interest of the team. We were not going to release him nor trade him to a team within the division. When Brett ultimately decided that he still wanted to play football, but not in Green Bay, we told him that we would work to find the best solution for all parties involved. We wish Brett and his family well.
“We appreciate the tremendous passion shown by our fans. We, like them, always will see Brett Favre as a Green Bay Packer and our respect for him never will change. Moving forward, we are dedicated to delivering a successful 2008 season for all Packers fans.”
Favre was reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Sunday after retiring in early March in a tear-filled press conference. He was added to the Packers’ roster on Monday, but did not practice with the club. The Green Bay paper reported the 38-year-old left for his Mississippi home Wednesday afternoon.
I think I just threw up in my mouth. It’s not even the right freakin O.
Plus, I wonder if the shirt is made in the US by union workers out of organic cotton?
Seriously…why not just this:
